Summary
Analytical pyrolysis coupled to gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (Py-GC-MS) is a gold standard approach in polymer characterization by vaporizing complex samples with thermal energy into GC-MS for separation and detection. The resulting chromatograms, known as pyrograms, are often extremely complex and relying heavily on Py-GC-MS reference database to interpret. CDS Analytical and Mestrelab Research co-present a powerful mass spectral processing software: CDS Mnova Plugin, which uses Mestrelab's Mnova MSChrom and DB plugins, to perform the characterization of polymer samples through the search engine and Py-GC-MS database over 640 polymers. The unique subtraction feature empowers the user to complete multiple search from a polymer mixture.

Maximum Data Compatibility
MSChrom is compatible with mainstream GC/MS manufacturers' data format, this include but not limit to Thermo, Agilent, PE, Scion, Shimadzu and Varian

Baseline Correction
Capable of performing a batch baseline correction, which can be used to deduct a GC/MS system blank TIC from sample TIC data to improve the system sensitivity
Co-adding Integrated Peaks
Unique peak selection tool allows the user to select mass spectra of peaks to display, in which the tails of each peak are not included in the mass spectrum, to provide cleaner data.
Compare MS Data
The unknown and the record mass spectra can be compared by the Mass Spectrum Mass Data entry in the Scores Section to the Spectral View section.
Compare Chromogram Data
Chromatograms of both the unknown and the record can be put on the same page for comparison in order to confirm the search result.
